An adventure seeker with a heart for a good cause, Charlie Perring of Drift Adventures is dedicating his 50th birthday to raising 50 000 pounds for the Tusk Trust by taking part in an Arctic Challenge.
In the extremities of the far north of Kiruna, four teams will compete in a dog sledding race of 40km, a 20km Nordic ski, ice fishing, woodland fire lighting, a shelter building challenge and a quiz where temperatures plummet to – 20 degrees.
This is all in support of the mission of the Tusk Trust to amplify the impact of progressive conservation initiatives across Africa, which is facing an urgent threat to its unique natural heritage and wildlife.
The Tusk Trust, which Prince William is a patron of, has been committed to conservation efforts for 30 years. During this time, they have successfully implemented initiatives across over 20 countries and increased the protection of more than 40 different endangered species and 10 million acres of land.
If you would like to donate to this special cause, you cando so here. Any amount, no matter how small, will enable the Trust to continue their vital work.
We wish Charlie and the teams a GOOD LUCK and look forward to seeing what they will achieve together!
